Your new8 account security is a shared responsibility. While we provide industry-grade security infrastructure, there are several best practices you should follow to keep your account safe at all times.
Choose a password with at least 8 characters, combining uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols. Avoid using your date of birth or name as your password.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security — even if someone knows your password, they will still need the OTP code sent to your phone to log in.
Do not log in to your new8 account over public Wi-Fi such as at cafes, hotels, or shopping malls. Use your own mobile data or a trusted VPN for added protection.
Change your new8 account password at least once every three months. If you suspect your account has been accessed without authorization, contact our customer support immediately for assistance.
Don't panic if you run into issues while logging in. Here are quick fixes for the most commonly reported login issues among new8 members in Malaysia:
Use the "Forgot password?" feature on the login page. Enter your registered phone number and we'll send you an OTP code to reset your password.
Your account has been temporarily locked for 15 minutes as a security measure. Please wait a moment or contact our support team via Live Chat for immediate unlocking.
Try clearing your browser cache or use incognito mode. If using the app, make sure it's updated to the latest version from the app store.
Make sure you enter the same number used during registration. If the issue persists, contact new8 customer support with your original registration details.
Still having trouble? The new8 support team is available 24/7 to help. Contact us via Live Chat in the app or visit the FAQ our team for more troubleshooting guides.
